Why we chose this
Tenby is one of those places that looks too perfect in photographs and then turns out to be exactly that good in person. Harbour Cottage sits right on the water — a narrow fisherman's house with more character per square metre than most hotels manage in an entire wing.
What to expect
Compact and beautifully done. The top-floor bedroom has harbour views through a sash window that you will not want to close. The town beach is a two-minute walk. Bring walking boots for the coast path.
Best for
Couples looking for a coastal weekend with no car required — the train station is ten minutes on foot.
